Thank you for allowing us to be your source for all things unique in our ever-changing industry. Just like the seasons, we, too, change and adapt, but like the autumn leaves we dare to be bold.
Each year, as summer fades into fall, and the air starts to turn crisp and the leaves are starting to change from green to vibrant colors of orange, red, and gold, I am reminded of the natural beauty that we are surrounded by. This time of year can be a great reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things, like cheering on your alma mater’s football team, sipping on a warm cup of anything pumpkin-spiced, carving pumpkins, or wrapped in a cozy blanket enjoying your favorite book—or Unique Venues Magazine! Fall also yields its impeccable timing as the ideal season to hold a variety of gatherings, retreats, conferences, and life events. The scene is set, almost like a painting you would see from famous artists like Gustav Klimt, Claude Monet, or, dare I say it—Bob Ross, whose uniqueness set him apart.
The food is warmer, cozier, and more comforting. The air is filled with scents of bonfires and leaves, and is more crisp and invigorating than any other time of year. Capitalizing on the changing of the seasons will inspire you, as a planner, and will enhance any special event, retreat, meeting or conference you are planning. So, we dreamt up a road trip from Atlantic Canada down through the states in New England, featuring seven unique spaces to plan your next meeting or event, while taking in some of the most beautiful fall foliage in North America. We even found some unique experiences that you and your attendees can incorporate into your event or networking activities. By combining the rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning scenery, this is a road trip you don’t want to miss! (read here)
In addition to taking you on a charming, scenic road trip, in this all-venue issue, we also get to highlight some of our wildest member venues that absolutely thrive on being anything but mainstream. In our cover story, zoos and aquariums give planners the chance to unleash their wild side and create a lasting impression on guests (read here). We also cover important topics for you -- our unique planners. As my creative team and I dive deeper into the planning of each issue, and develop creative content unlike any hospitality publication in the industry, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for allowing us to be your source for all things unique in our ever-changing industry. Just like the seasons, we, too, change and adapt, but like the autumn leaves we dare to be bold.
