Bates Barn

Located in Atlantic Canada and surrounded by Belleisle Bay, Bates Barn in New Brunswick is a perfect place to take in the breathtaking views that accompany the changing seasons. As the venue’s name suggests, Bates Barn is located on a family farm covering 15 acres. The barn is surrounded by an array of trees and can be conveniently accessed via car or boat. A popular method of transportation to the barn is aboard the Belleisle Bay Ferry which only takes a few minutes but leaves riders with a cool autumn breeze on their face, the sound of dry, rustling leaves, and of course, a picturesque view.


After a busy day, guests are able to view the vibrant colors of autumn from the outdoor patio that offers a perfect ambiance. Bates Barn is able to hold year-round events because of their built-in climate control. Over 175 guests can comfortably fit in the barn with added space in the loft overlooking the main floor. The open layout of the barn is a perfect place to host meetings, weddings, and special events. Bates Barn offers a rustic yet elegant atmosphere where guests and planners are graciously assisted by the owners to make their experience more pleasant.


Guests will continue to be entertained even after their event has ended with unique adventures and activities located right on the property. The Bates family offers an apple orchard where guests and attendees can take a leisurely stroll to a quaint orchard and pick their own apples. A perfect fall activity for your guests to do on their own while they’re waiting for their next training session or before their conference begins. In addition to apples, guests have the option to pick their own strawberries, raspberries, corn, and pumpkins. Bates Barn is situated in a charming location surrounded by beautiful trees, but also is ideally located near beaches where guests can listen to the breaking of waves on the shore and feel the sand in between their toes.
